                My humblest apologies to any of you who were counting on racing my series this year. Due to many

                        factors that I won't list here I don't have any races planned for this year.  Don't forget about us !! 

                                                        The point series will be back someday !!!

                                  Mendocino Mountain Bike Point Series

                                                            Fast racing in the cool redwoods!

The point series consists of four stand-alone races that also earn the riders points towards the series championship. Riders can choose from Beginner, Citizen, and Open classes. The Beginner and Citizen classes are further divided into age groups; 15-18, 19-35, 36-50, and 50+(5 riders to form a category). Racers under the age of 15 must race Beginner class.

Each race stands alone. Racers vie for fun, glory, and medals (1st, 2nd, 3rd) at every race. Each rider also races for points towards the series championship; trophies for all classes, cash for the top open riders.

The course offers something for every racer. Flat, fast logging roads; gently rolling double-track; short, steep climbs; swooping single-track; we've got it all!  A light lunch is offered to all racers.  Free camping available at the race site. Camp sites have picnic tables, fire rings, and bar-b-ques. No running water!  If you are camping you need to bring your own water!!

Location:  Jackson Demonstration State Forest - Camp One (egg taking station)

Directions:  Take Hwy 20 to six miles east of Fort Bragg. Turn on road 350. The staging area is three miles down the dirt road at the egg taking station/day use area.
